Security Metrics Program Development

Think Forward understand the relationship of cyber performance metrics, cyber budget analysis and 3rd Party Risk Management. Our understanding of these three interrelated cyber concepts lead us to work with a key customer to implemented a cyber metrics program. The TFC team developed a list of high impact KPIs with the security director. We leveraged the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) to map KPIs to the five CSF functions. Built maturity tier based on industry guidelines for metrics results. The industry guidelines were mapped to metric tiers to represent level of maturity. This allowed  CIO leadership to present cyber health across all business sectors to the board. This process was used for risk management across the enterprise.
