Chris is a well-respected information security thought leader. He has 20 years of experience in the information security industry and has consulted with many world-class organizations, such as Wells Fargo Bank, the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. State Department. He is a winner of DefCon’s infamous “Capture the Flag” contest and has been an invited speaker with NIST, the Department of Justice, the U.S. Secret Service and other federal agencies. Currently, Chris is the U.S. Chief Information Security Officer for BMO Financial Group, the 8th largest North American bank. Chris holds a Ph.D. in cryptography from Cambridge University, has a CISSP, NSA IEM, in addition to other certifications, and is a registered professional engineer in Canada and the UK. In his free time, Chris enjoys riding fire trucks, playing his ukulele and customizing motorcycles.
